Section 36
Management of private forests
(1) Owners of private forests can manage the development and protection of private forests and use forest produce or sell and distribute it by determining the price.
(2) At the request of the owner of the private forest, the Division Forest Office or the Sub Division Forest Office may provide necessary technical and other assistance for the work as per sub-section (1).
(3) In case of collection and transportation of forest produce in private forests or private land for commercial purposes, approval should be obtained from the relevant local level.
(4) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (3), if collection and transportation of forest produce from one local level to another local level for commercial purposes is required, approval shall be obtained from the concerned Division Forest Office.
(5) In case of collection and transportation of forest produce from one local level to another local level within a district for domestic purposes, from the local level from which the collection and transportation is to be done, and from one district to another district in case of collection and transportation of forest produce from the district from which the collection and transportation is to be done. Yes, approval should be obtained from the Divisional Forest Office of the district.
(6) The Government of Nepal may provide facilities as prescribed to the owners of private forests.
(7) Any person, organization, group or community can also do agriculture, forestry, herb cultivation and wildlife rearing subject to the prescribed standards.
